Local Interests

Botley village dates back to medieval times and is mentioned and recorded as a hamlet int he doomsday book.

the village itself is a extremely attractive with a variety of boutiques, independent shops and cafes to tempt any passer by.  the recently renovated Botley mill is a great morning's outing, with flower shops, a dress boutique as well as a country store.  just past the mill is a farm shop with a  plethora of organic and home grown produce.

southampton city itself is a short hop away on either bus or by car.  the docks and quay is a great place to watch the boats go by and while way a few hours by the sea.  the shopping centre has many flagship stores and everything you could require.

in terms of local interest:  beaulieu and the motor museum is open all year round and only fifteen minutes away.  for the kids; peppa pig world is only 20 minutes drive and a couple of junctions up the motorway.

Botley has a great golf club for the enthusiasts, a rugby club as well as the local botleigh grange, a lovely venue for weddings, etc.
