Dear friends and regulars

A humble vote of thanks for all your support since opening this year. You really have taken The Bugle Inn to your heart, spent time with us. Enjoyed the food and drinks as well as the live music and entertainment.   It’s hard enough opening a new business in such a small community, let alone doing it through a world wide pandemic!  Your words of encouragement, thank you cards, little chats and supportive reviews have made it all worthwhile.  However hard it’s been we have never thought about giving up or changing the path we set on.  Despite the situation we are presently living through, we think 2022 will be the best yet. With live music every weekend, new menus, drinks and a refurbishment to look forward to!!

Mandy, Chris, James, Max, Sophie, Elliott, Leanne, Laura, Pauline and Geoff, sarah, Loki, Redd and myself wish you all a wonderful Christmas filled with family and fun.

We will close tonight at five o clock.

We reopen Boxing Day at noon.  Look after yourselves and keep as safe as you can.

Our wonderful newly refurbished venue is ready and waiting with revised home-grown menus, changed seasonally with food locally sourced through exciting regional and seasonal produce, which are reared and grown with great ingredients and simply cooked by Head Chef Chris Reeve, formerly of the Bladebone in Reading and The Whitehorse in Otterbourne. We have Specials every day including over 60’s Tuesdays and Sunday lunches 2 courses for £20 or 3 for £25.

We have also refurbished our hotel rooms with Guest rooms now available from £50 a night for a double room with complimentary continental breakfast.

Christopher Reeve,
Head Chef


We are excited to announce the appointment of Chris Reeve as Head chef of the Bugle Inn and Hotel, Botley.

Chris comes with a wealth of experience and accumulated talent, previously chef at The Bladebone, Bucklebury and The White Horse, Otterbourne.

Chris specialises in great British food, using local seasonal produce, done simply but effectively. Chris has complete. Autonomy over the ever-changing menu, ensuring consistency and high standard of signature and boutique dishes.
